A wonderful example, finely woven of ash with an oak handle.
Having a square to round form with single wrapped rims, a split handle lashed to the body and bottom and signed (probably), by the maker: “Sidney-Ensign”.
Also signed on the bottom in pencil: “Daniel Gaylords Basket-don’t you steal it”.
