Fine cherry drop-leaf work table retaining an old stained and varnish surface.
Having a thin top and two rule joined drop leaves supported by shaped pivoting supports above a mortised case with a flush fitted dovetailed drawer still retaining the original mushroom shaped press fitted knob, and supported by four square tapered legs. The top appears to have received an additional thin coat of varnish.

Provenance: The collection of Grace Ten Eyck Tagliabue. Received as a wedding gift in 1945 from the Maurice Whitney Family, Berlin, NY, who had purchased it directly from the remaining Shakers at Mount Lebanon, New York.
