Old, refinished surface

An elegant take on a classic Canterbury form, this four-slat Armed Rocking Chair is in a very fine state of preservation with an old, Shaker refinish. Slightly tapered, straight back posts with oblong finials are fitted around figured tiger maple rockers. The four back slats are graduated with rounded bevels on the top edges, and the front posts with vase turnings are tenoned into shaped arms.
