A Shaker Blanket Chest with three, molded-front, dovetailed drawers with original turned knobs. Both drawers and knobs are graduated. The knobs were turned with a circular pattern that matches the knobs at the bottom of the east staircase in Canterbury’s North Shop.
The lift lid has an applied molding, and the case sits on an applied molding base. Overall, this Blanket Chest is in a very fine state of preservation with its original logwood-stained surface, which has faded with age and sun exposure to a paler shade.
