An unusual, straight-lapped Shaker Oval Storage Box. Typically, this style is associated with the pantry boxes made outside of Shaker communities, so this Box, in an original tomato-red opaque paint, is a rare example. An identifying feature is the 45-degree angle clip in the inside overlap above the steel rivets—a hallmark of the New Hampshire Bishopric. In an excellent state of preservation.
