A fine example of a New Lebanon Bishopric Oval Storage Box with an old, nineteenth-century tomato red paint over an original red-painted surface. With two, well-proportioned lappers on the base and one on the lid fixed with copper rivets and brads, the Box is of classic construction and in a fine state of preservation. There is one area of delamination on the lower right side of the box.
